Seed Pellet Workshop
When: August 23 at Usery Mountain Regional Park, Meet at Nature Center at 8:00 am-11:30 am.
Participants will learn to make seed pellets by mixing native seed, clay, soil/compost, and water. You will also learn how to process the native seed and prepare for the pellet creations. The initiative to make seed pellets is a proactive step towards ecological restoration. Please bring water and a snack. Dress in clothes you don’t mind getting dirty, or wear an apron. We will be in the nature center for part of the workshop and outdoors near the nature center.
We encourage family participation; however, parents must be present for minors, and it is recommended that participants be at least five years of age.
