Summer is here and so are our scorpion friends. We’ll be on the lookout for our Sonoran species, and whoever finds the Giant Desert Hairy scorpion wins! This fun program starts with a brief overview of scorpions of Arizona and how to identify them, followed by a walk with a ranger to see how many we can find. We’ll be exploring Amigos Wash trail. Prepare to hike about a mile and a half on gravel terrain, through a sandy wash, with only slight elevation difference (<100 feet) Don’t forget to bring your blacklights, flashlights, water, closetoed shoes, and $7 cash/ vehicle to self-pay. No pets please. Gates close at 9pm.
