Lake Pleasant Regional Park hosts many visitors throughout the year, which makes keeping up with trash clean-up a difficult task. Not only is litter ugly to look at, but it also can be a health risk for our native wildlife.
On Sunday, April 28th, we are partnering with Desert Breeze Kayaking to clean-up the Fireman's Cove section of Lake Pleasant. Divers, Paddle Boarders, Kayakers, and Land Dwellers are welcome. Please join us!!!
We need:
Divers to clean below the water.
Paddle boarders and kayakers to help collect from the divers.
Land dwellers to clean the shoreline and surrounding areas.
You must be in good physical condition with the ability to work outdoors in the desert heat the entire time.
Volunteers are encouraged to bring their own gloves. Make sure to bring plenty of water. A sun hat, sunscreen, a salty snack, and good hiking shoes are also recommended. If you have an extra trash picker, that would be helpful as we have a limited number that we can hand out.
Please enter the park at the North Entry Station (approximately 3 miles north of the Main Entry Station). A Safety briefing will be held in the Fireman's Cove area prior to the clean-up.
In return for your generous service, all volunteers will receive free admission to Lake Pleasant for the entire day!
