Join Ranger Nikki on a hike to look for early signs of spring plants sprouting. Click program title for more details.

Take a hike with Ranger Nikki to look for pops of greenery along the trail, indicating that spring blooms are on the way. Depending on winter rains and temperatures we may see the beginnings of wildflowers such as fiddleneck, filaree and lupine as well as mosses and budding shrubs. The route follows San Tan, Stargazer and Moonlight Trails for 2.2 miles and is rated as easy to moderate, with terrain ranging from flat and level to uneven with small rocks underfoot. Wear closed-toe shoes and bring water. Restrooms and water are available at the Nature Center.

MEETING LOCATION: Main trailhead picnic table

No registration required.
