Enjoy an early morning walk to watch for birds, lizards, snakes, wild burros, and small animals with Ranger Olivia. Click on program title for more details.
Let’s see what sorts of wildlife we can spot. Birds should be active at this time and there’s not a bad chance for lizards, burros, and small animals too. Binoculars will make things easier, but a magnifying glass will help you find bugs and spiders which can be just as interesting! This hike will be an out and back hike that is about 2 miles on mostly flat terrain with some uneven/rocky areas. Please wear close-toed shoes and bring plenty of water! There is a restroom at the trailhead.
MEETING LOCATION: Wild Burro Trailhead
For those participating in the 100 Miles in 100 Days Challenge (Nov. 1-Feb. 8), this hike is a great way to work towards your goal! For more information about the challenge, visit https://www.maricopacountyparks.net/things-to-do/activity/100-miles-in-100-days-challenge/
