Join Ranger Eric for a late afternoon hike along the Slate and Flume Trails to look for reptiles of the Sonoran Desert. Along the way, we will discuss identification tips, their ecological roles, and safety around venomous animals. We will hike 1-2 miles roundtrip (depending on heat and interest) on easy grade, but occasionally rocky or uneven ground. Please wear protective clothing and/or sunscreen, wear sturdy footwear, and carry ample water, electrolytes, and snacks for yourself. Restrooms are available at the trailhead.
