Join Ranger Kevin for an approximately 3-mile loop on the Yavapai Point Trail. This trail is moderate, so expect some loose rock, uneven terrain and elevation change. We’ll enjoy the beauty of a quiet outdoor evening, walking through a desert landscape silvered by the moon and stars (weather permitting, of course). From the top of Yavapai Point, we will be rewarded with perhaps the best view of the lake in the entire park. Please wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes and bring plenty of water, along with a flashlight. Restrooms are available near the trailhead. NO pets, please.
MEETING LOCATION: Cottonwood Day Use Area; use north entrance to access the lake (past main entrance)
Limit 30 participants. To register, please email Ranger Kevin at Kevin.Thorson@maricopa.gov. Please include your name, phone number, and number of people. If you find you cannot attend a program after you have registered, please email so we may contact those on the waiting list. Registration for this program will close on Monday, July 31.
