Did you know that a desert is composed of various, smaller ecosystems? Come along with
Ranger Shaun to learn more about this one! Click program title for more details.
Ranger Shaun is out to explore the smaller ecosystems that make up the Sonoran Desert. This time, he’s found himself in a riparian corridor. Come along to see exactly what that means! We’ll be exploring the Metate trail as it wanders along the riverbank, crossing the river a couple times then heads back along a part of the San Tan trail. Overall, the trip will cover just over 2 miles. Sunscreen and plenty of water, perhaps even a snack, are recommended. No pets please. Port-apotty style restrooms will be available near the trail head, but there is no water available in the park, please come prepared. MEETING LOCATION: The shaded picnic tables near the restrooms Limit 15 participants. To register, please call the Nature Center at (602) 506-2930 ext. 8 with your name, phone number and number of people attending. If you find you cannot attend a program after you have registered, please call the Nature Center ASAP so we may contact those on the waiting list. Registration for this program will close on 12/14/23.
