Learn about the adaptations and life cycles of plants and animals of our Sonoran Desert on an easy hike with Ranger Nikki. The route follows Pemberton Trail and part of Stoneman Wash Trail for an out-and-back hike of 2 to 2.5 miles. The terrain varies from level and smooth to deep sand in Stoneman Wash. Wear closed-toe shoes and bring a hat, sunscreen, snacks and plenty of water. Restrooms and water are available at Trailhead Staging.
