***CANCELED due to ranger illness. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Join Ranger Eric for a guided hike on the Waterfall Trail to learn about the animals, plants, and ecology of the Sonoran Desert, and to see the granite formation that is occasionally a waterfall following rain. The lower 0.5-mile of the trail is barrier-free up to a petroglyph viewing area, then is on uneven and rocky trail for the last 0.4-mile to the end below the waterfall. Altogether the hike is 1.8 miles roundtrip on easy-moderate grade. Please wear sturdy footwear, consider hiking poles for stability, and bring ample water.
MEETING LOCATION: Waterfall Trailhead. See park map here: https://www.maricopacountyparks.net/assets/1/6/white-tank-8x11.pdf
