Join Ranger Eric for a guided hike to learn about the animals, plants, and ecology of the Sonoran Desert. We will hike 2.6 miles roundtrip on a loop of Spur Cross, Metate, and Towhee Trails. It will be on easy-moderate grade, with frequently rocky or uneven ground. Please dress in layers, wear protective clothing and/or sunscreen, wear sturdy footwear, and carry ample water, electrolytes, and snacks for yourself. Porta-potties are located 200 ft beyond the parking lot. No water available, so bring your own.
For those wanting to kick-off the start of the 100 Miles in 100 Days Challenge (Nov. 1-Feb. 8), this hike is a great way to work towards your goal! For more info, visit the following link: https://www.maricopacountyparks.net/things-to-do/activity/100-miles-in-100-days-challenge/
