Join Ranger Kevin for an exciting evening of dark sky desert hiking. Click program title for more details.
Join Ranger Kevin on a 2.1-mile hike on easy to moderate terrain under a moonless summer night sky. We’ll see the desert at its darkest, with only starlight overhead. This is a great opportunity to be out when nocturnal animals tend to be active, so we’ll be on the lookout for all sorts of desert wildlife! Restrooms and a drinking fountain are available at the park entrance. Wear closed-toe shoes and bring plenty of water. Flashlight and blacklight recommended. No pets, please. Please bring $7 exact CASH for the self-pay station or your annual pass. No pets, please. MEETING LOCATION: Main Entrance Tailhead map kiosk/picnic table.
Limit 20 participants. To register, please call the Nature Center at (602) 506-2930 ext. 7 with your name, phone number and number of people attending. If you find you cannot attend a program after you have registered, please call the Nature Center ASAP so we may contact those on the waiting list. Registration for this program will close on 6/15/23.
