We’ll be taking an approximately 2.5-mile evening hike amidst the scenic beauty of the Cottonwood trail. As we go, we’ll be looking out for all kinds of evening-active critters, from skunks to scorpions, spiders, snakes, javelina, coyote, deer, owls and more! The trail is rated easy with little loose rock, uneven surfaces and elevation change. Please bring water and wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes. Bring flashlights; UV (black) lights are optional. NO pets, please.
Please note: Summer programs may be canceled on short notice due to severe weather, including extreme heat events. The Maricopa County Parks website is the best resource for verifying the program’s current status, so please check the program listing prior to departing for your scheduled program.
