Join Ranger Kevin for an approximately 2-mile hike on the Rock Peak Wash Trail. The hike will be on the easy, but sandy, terrain of a desert wash. We will be on the lookout for a variety of Sonoran Desert wildlife, from birds to reptiles to mammals. Please wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes, and bring plenty of water. Hats and sunscreen are highly recommended. The hike may be shortened if extreme heat conditions exist. Please bring $7 exact CASH for the self-pay station or your annual pass. MEETING LOCATION: Rock Peak Wash Trailhead at the south end of the park (see map here: https://www.maricopacountyparks.net/assets/1/6/san-tan-8x11.pdf). Restrooms are not available at this trailhead but are available at the main park entrance.
