This program is cancelled due to extreme temperatures that are forecasted this week. The area is under an Excessive Heat Warning.
Join Ranger Steve for a roughly 2.5 mile sunset/twilight hike on the easy terrain of the North Trail. We’ll be searching for birds of prey such as the Harris’s Hawk, Red-tailed hawk, American Kestrel, and various species of owls. We may also encounter other wildlife such as snakes, scorpions, spiders, and more! Please wear hard-soled shoes or boots, bring plenty of water, and don’t forget binoculars and a flashlight or UV light if you have one! Trails are rated easy, but there still may be some rocky and/or uneven terrain, though the hike is mostly flat. Restrooms are available at the trailhead, but please bring your own water. Please, no pets.
MEETING LOCATION: We’ll meet at the small parking area near the bathrooms at the North Trailhead.
Limit 12 participants. To register, please call the Nature Center at (602) 506-2930 ext. 3 with your name, phone number and number of people attending.
