Join Ranger Nikki on an easy to moderate terrain hike to learn about some of the cacti in our desert and catch a glimpse of critters on the move. Click program title for more details.
Ranger Nikki will lead you on an easy-to-moderate terrain hike to look for saguaros, cholla and barrel cacti along with a variety of animals such as birds, lizards, deer and more. The route follows Slate and Flume Trails for an out-and-back total of 5 miles. Wear closed-toe shoes and bring snacks and plenty of water. Restrooms and water are available at the Nature Center and Trailhead.
Meeting Location: Slate Trailhead on Tonalite Drive.
Limit 20 participants. To register, please call the Cave Creek Nature Center at (602) 506-2930 ext. 8 with your name, phone number and number attending. If you find you cannot attend a program after you have registered, please call the Nature Center ASAP so we may contact those on the waiting list. Registration for this program will close on Friday, November 3.
