Join Ranger Eric for a guided 3.5-mile moderate-rated loop of the Dragonfly Trail while learning about the plants and animals of the Sonoran Desert ecosystem, with a special emphasis on late-spring wildflowers and butterflies. This spring is shaping up to have a good wildflower show in the desert due to the fall and winter rains! This is also the time of year when various reptiles emerge and birds are nesting, so we will have lots to look at! Parts of the trail will have uneven and rocky surfaces. Please wear protective clothing or sunblock, wear sturdy footwear, and carry ample water and snacks for yourself. MEETING LOCATION: Spur Cross trailhead ramadas and porta-potties, 200 ft down the trail from the parking lot at the end of the road. No water available, so bring your own. See park map here: https://www.maricopacountyparks.net/assets/1/6/spur-cross-8x11.pdf
