Join Ranger Kevin for an approximately 2.5-mile hike on the Beardsley Trail. Trail is rated easy with little loose rock, uneven terrain and elevation change. We will learn a little about some of the birds common to the Sonoran Desert, how to identify them, tips for improving identification, and then get some field practice. Please wear closed-toe shoes, and bring plenty of water. Hats and sunscreen are highly recommended. Ranger may have a small number of binoculars and field guides available to borrow. Restrooms and water are not available at the trailhead; visitors must go around to the main entrance of the park (a 5-10 minute drive) to find facilities. Admission to the park is $7 (or free with an annual pass) and must be paid in cash at the trailhead. You can also go to the Main Entrance and purchase admission before coming to the trailhead. NO pets, please.
