Join Ranger Kevin for an early morning walk along the Beardsley trail. Trail is rated easy, with very little loose rock, uneven terrain and elevation change. Program includes an introduction to birding. We’ll cover birding basics, from tools and equipment to bird identification tips and strategies. Don’t worry if you don’t have binoculars; the Ranger will have some to borrow. Please wear sturdy closed-toe shoes and bring plenty of water. Hats and sunscreen are highly recommended. Restrooms and water are not available at the trailhead; visitors must go around to the main entrance of the park (a 10-minute drive) to find facilities. Admission to the park is $7 (or free with an annual pass) and must be paid in cash at the trailhead. You can also go to the Main Entrance and purchase admission (cash or credit) before coming to the trailhead. NO pets, please.
