Join Ranger Steve for an evening trail walk to look for and learn about the nocturnal critters of the Sonoran Desert! Wildlife seen on past walks have included snakes, bats, ringtails, foxes, skunks, javelinas, burros, deer, owls, scorpions, insects, and other cool creepy crawlies! Please bring your own flashlights and blacklights if you have them. Please carry your own water and wear closed-toe shoes. Due to the wildlife, we may encounter, please do not bring pets. Trails are rated as easy-moderate and are mostly flat, but there may be some uneven or rocky surfaces. We will hike about 2 miles. This program is for all ages but might not be suitable for toddlers or young children due to their perception of the darkness and hiking length.
MEETING LOCATION: Area 4, Black Rock Trailhead, near the bathrooms on the east side of the park road.
Limit 15 participants. To register, please call the Nature Center at (602)506-2930, ext. 5 with your name, phone number and number of people attending.
