Join Ranger Steve on an easy 1.5 mile hike on the Merkle Trail as we discuss the landscape around us—what makes the Sonoran Desert unique? How tall do Saguaro cacti get? How many species of rattlesnake live in Arizona? Get answers to all these questions and more as we take in the scenery and sunset. Please dress appropriately for temperatures that can fluctuate (wear layers) and bring plenty of water. Restrooms are available at the trailhead.
MEETING LOCATION: Merkle Trailhead, Area 6
Limit 15 participants. To register, please call the Nature Center at (602) 506-2930 ext. 4 with your name, phone number and number of people attending. If you find you cannot attend a program after you have registered, please call the Nature Center ASAP so we may contact those on the waiting list. Registration for this program will close on 12/7/23.
