Enjoy a fast-paced hike through the foothills of the San Tan mountains with Ranger Derik and earn miles for the 100

The hike will cover 4.5 miles and gain 300 ft of elevation and is rated as moderate to difficult. The trails will go over rolling hills and washes so expected rocky and sandy sections. Although the temperatures are cooling off, it may still be warm, so 3 liters of water are recommended. You are strongly encouraged to drink plenty of water the night before the hike. Bathrooms and water can be found at the nature center. If you have mobility or balance difficulties, hiking boots and hiking poles are strongly encouraged. MEETING LOCATION: San Tan Trailhead picnic table and map kiosk Limit 20 participants.
