Join Ranger Derik on a night hike through the desert as the full moon rises over
Phoenix. Click program title for more details.
The hike will cover 2.5 miles on easy to moderate terrain expect sandy trail and in small sections rocks and stone steps. Along the hike you will learn about the history the animals and the plants that can be found within the park. On the hike back we will hunt for scorpions and other nocturnal creatures. Please bring flashlights with you and make sure they are charged or that you have extra batteries with you. Water and bathrooms can be found at the trailhead. MEETING LOCATION: Black rock trailhead area 4 Limit 25 participants. If you find you cannot attend a program after you have registered, please call the Nature Center ASAP so we may contact those on the waiting list. Registration for this program will close on 10/15/24.
