In gearing up for the “Bats and Buzzards on the Bridge” event on October 3 at the nearby Wickenburg pedestrian bridge, come by the Preserve and learn about the impressive migrations of turkey vultures and Mexican free-tailed bats that pass over the Hassayampa River corridor. This annual natural spectacle can be witnessed at its peak daily from late afternoon to dusk from mid-September to early October. At this discovery station, Ranger Eric will explain what we know about these and other wildlife migrations, details on where to watch it in Wickenburg, and answer any questions you might have.
