Explore the entire park with Ranger Derik as we work our way through riparian and
upland desert habitat to learn about the many plant and animal species that call the Sonoran Desert home.

The hike is rated as moderate and will cover approximately 3 miles along sections of Lykes Lookout, River Ramble, Palm Lake and Mesquite Meander. The trails are mostly flat except for a steep incline of 100ft and loose rock on the Lykes Lookout trail. Bathrooms and water can be found in the main parking lot. Please bring plenty of water and please no pets. MEETING LOCATION: Visitor Center Garden Limit 20 participants. To register, please call the Visitor Center at 602-506-2930 ext. 9 with your name, phone number and number of people attending. If you find you cannot attend a program after you have registered, please call back ASAP so those on the waiting list may be contacted. Registration for this program will close on 7/26/24.
