During the Fourth of July week, we will make every effort to keep you updated on traffic, and park information. However, with park visitors arriving non-stop, and limited resources, we may be unable to post updates regularly on social media. To make it easier for you to find information, we have included widgets from additional agencies helping us keep park visitors safe and informed this weekend.
PARK AND FIREWORK INFORMATION:
TRAFFIC:
- For information on incidents, crashes, road closures, and lane restrictions, visit: ADOT 511 - High Impact Traffic Alerts.
- DPS Information: July 3rd no parking will be permitted along SR 74. DPS and Peoria PD will be patrolling and citing violators. Further traffic restrictions may be enacted if the park reaches capacity for campers and / or boat parking fills up. Restrictions are anticipated between 9:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. for a fireworks show.
LITTER:
Along with a weekend of fun, comes an abundance of litter. We would greatly appreciate it if you would either collect your litter and leave it in one of the many receptacles, and pack out what you pack in.
Leaving no trace is everyone's responsibility.
- Plan ahead and prepare.
- Travel and camp on durable surfaces.
- Dispose of waste properly (Pack It In, Pack It Out).
- Leave what you find.
- Minimize campfire impacts. - The park is currently under a fire ban.
- Respect wildlife.
- Be considerate of other visitors.
