Several times during the year the Center, in cooperation with other organizations, offers training in various aquatic activities. Some of these are:
- Cabela’s kayaking and canoeing—generally offered in August-September this program offers 3 hours of classroom instruction followed by 3 hours of on-water practice. There is a minimal on-water fee for each individual participating , with a minimum age of 11 years. Canoe training is ACA certified.
- Ladies Day on the Lake—a partnership with the Lake Pleasant Sailing Club, this free training is offered on a Saturday from about 8:00 a.m. until about 5:00 p.m. There is no set schedule for this training, but currently the event is held every 2-3 years. LPSC members offer their sailing rigs free of charge as well as their expertise.
- Weekend Scout Aquatics Training—this is an option that must be planned in advance and with a minimum of 25 students to occur in a Saturday. Available dates are very limited. Call to explore opportunities for this event.
