NOTICE:
On June 30, the Joe Foss Shooting Complex at Buckeye Hills Regional Park will close. The current permit holder, who has managed the range for the past six months, was notified last month that the permit would not be renewed.
The decision has been made to transition the Complex to the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO). By doing so, more officers and deputies will be able to learn, qualify, and requalify with firearms and reduce the wait time for such training. MCSO not only conducts training for their agency but also conducts AZPOST-certified law enforcement academy training for many other law enforcement agencies. This decision prioritizes public safety and is fiscally responsible.
Upon closure, the Complex will be inspected, and any necessary repairs or improvements will be performed before it is transitioned to MCSO.
The Parks Department would like to thank everyone who donated their time and expertise managing the facility over the years, and those who regularly visited for their patronage.

The General Joe Foss Shooting Complex is located in the Buckeye Hills Regional Park, just five (5) miles south of Buckeye, Arizona. The park is located about 10.5 miles south of I-10 on S.R. 85. For those with a GPS, the Lat and Lon are 112.64255 and 33.27679.
