This is an approximately 2-mile hike along a variety of trails within the Preserve. We’ll be seeking out the three main types of scorpions that are native to our region. At the same time, we’ll keep our eyes open for other desert critters that may be around. The trail is rated easy with little loose rock, uneven surfaces and elevation change, although there are sections with deep sand. Please bring plenty of water and wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes. Bring flashlights; black UV lights are optional. NO pets, please.
