Learn about diverse desert plant life on a hike with Ranger Nikki. We will see cacti, trees, perennial shrubs and annual plants and discuss their life cycles and survival strategies. The route uses trails in the lower areas of the park, including portions of both Mesquite and Ford Canyon Trails along with Waddell and Ironwood to make a 4-mile loop. The terrain varies from mostly level ground to uneven with small to medium rocks underfoot. Wear closed-toe shoes and bring snacks and plenty of water. Restrooms and water are available at the Nature Center.
