Join Ranger Derik on a 3 mile out and back hike through Pipeline canyon and to the only summit hike in the park. The hike can be rocky and loose in sections so hiking boots are encouraged and if you have mobility or balance issues hiking poles or a walking stick can come in handy. As we will be hiking at night everyone should bring at least one flashlight (with fresh batteries). Cell phone lights are too dim and are not recommended as your only light source. Feel free to bring blacklights if you have them to help in the scorpion hunt. There are bathrooms at the trailhead, but no water fountains are available so please make sure to bring plenty with you. MEETING LOCATION: Cottonwood Day Use Area North Lake Pleasant entrance Limit 25 participants. If you find you cannot attend a program after you have registered, please email back ASAP so those on the waiting list may be contacted. Registration for this program will close on 5/1/25.
