The hike is rated as easy, covering 1.2 miles and gaining 218ft of elevation. Expect some sections of the trail to be rocky and loose. Hiking poles and boots are strongly encouraged. Along the hike you will learn about the many native cacti species that call the desert home, how they help the native wildlife and some of their common / historical uses. There are no bathrooms or water at the trailhead, but they can be found at the Nature Center on your way to the trailhead.
