Thursday, September 12, 2024
07:00 AM - 08:30 AM
White Tank Mountain Regional Park
20304 W. White Tank Mountain Road
Waddell, AZ 85355

(602) 506-2930 ext. 5

Enjoy an early morning walk to watch for birds, lizards, snakes, and small animals with Ranger Olivia. Click on program title for more details.

Let’s see what sorts of wildlife we can spot. Birds should be active at this time and there’s not a bad chance for lizards and small animals too. Binoculars will make things easier, but a magnifying glass will help you find bugs and spiders which can be just as interesting! The route will be on waterfall trail, this will be an easy 2-mile hike out-and-back. The terrain is mostly level but there are a few spots that are uneven with small to medium rocks underfoot. Wear closed-toe shoes and bring plenty of water. Restrooms and water are available at the trail head.

MEETING LOCATION: Waterfall trailhead, Area 6

Limit 15 participants. To register, please call the Nature Center at (602) 506-2930 ext.5 with your name, phone number and number of people attending. If you find you cannot attend a program after you have registered, please call the Nature Center ASAP so we may contact those on the waiting list. Registration for this program will close on 9/10/2024.
