Join Ranger Derik for a morning hike through the rolling desert hills of Lake
Pleasant. Click program title for more details.
The hike will follow the Wild burro trail for a total of 4 miles (2 miles out and 2 miles back and have and elevation gain of 250ft. The trail is rated as moderate so expects rocky and loose trail in sections hiking boots and trekking poles are encouraged if you have mobility issues. Water and bathrooms can be found across the road at the 10-lane boat ramp. Please make sure to have plenty of water with you and protective clothing/ sunscreen. MEETING LOCATION: Frog Tank Trailhead across from the 10-lane boat ramp. Limit 15 participants. If you find you cannot attend a program after you have registered, please email Ranger Derik so we may contact those on the waiting list. Registration for this program will close on 8/16/24.Please note: Summer programs may be canceled on short notice due to severe weather, including extreme heat events.
