This National Public Lands Day, show your appreciation and earn volunteer hours while helping to beautify McDowell Mountain’s outdoor Nature Center area! We’ll be giving the shade structures and picnic tables a much-needed makeover; specific activity may include scraping off old paint, sanding, and repainting. Shade, restrooms, and water are available nearby. Participants need to be able to physically exert themselves while working outside. Please bring work gloves if you have them, appropriate shoes and clothing, and a water bottle. We will provide the paint, brushes, scraping/sanding tools.
As a way of saying "Thank You", all volunteers will receive free admission to the park for the entire day!!
