Hike through Riparian habitat with Ranger Derik and learn about the many native edible
plants that can be found within the park and native peoples that harvested them. Click program title for more details.
The hike is rated as moderate and will combine sections of both the Metate and Spur Cross trails covering 2.5 miles. Along the hike we will stop at Native American rock art and try some wild edible plants if the season allows. The park does not have water access so make sure to bring plenty with you. Portable restrooms can be found at trailhead. MEETING LOCATION: Covered tables past contact station Please note: Entry to Spur Cross Ranch Conservation Area is $3 per person. Annual Pass or CASH are accepted, and exact change is appreciated. Limit 20 participants.
