Enjoy an exciting evening hike along the Spur Cross and Dragonfly Loop trails. We’ll be on the lookout for all kinds of evening-active critters, from skunks to scorpions, spiders, snakes, fox, coyote, deer, owls and more! The trail is rated easy-moderate with some rocky, uneven surfaces and some elevation change. Please bring water and wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes. Bring flashlights; black UV lights are optional.
Please note: Summer programs may be canceled on short notice due to severe weather, including extreme heat events. The MC Parks website is the best resource for verifying the program’s current status, so please check the program listing prior to departing for your scheduled program.
MEETING LOCATION: Spur Cross Trailhead, which can be found past the entry station, near the Portapotties and picnic tables.
Please note: Entry to Spur Cross Conservation Area is $3 per person. Cash only is accepted. If entry station is closed, please place your money in the payment box at the gate.
Limit 15 participants. To register, please call the Cave Creek Nature Center at (602) 506-2930 ext. 8. If you find you cannot attend a program after you have registered, please call the Nature Center ASAP so we may contact those on the waiting list. Registration for this program will close on 7/29/24.
