What better way to kick off the Halloween season than a sunset and night hike down Slate trail with Ranger Shaun? Look for scorpions along the trail, watch for bats overhead, listen for owls and nighthawk! Who knows what you might encounter in the desert in the dark? This will be a guided hike down the 1.6 mile, easy rated Slate trail. Please bring plenty of water, a snack, and a flashlight; wear closed toed shoes. Blacklights are also recommended. No pets allowed. Restrooms and parking available at trailhead. MEETING LOCATION: Slate Trail Trailhead Limit 10 participants. To register, please call the Nature Center (602) 506-2930 ext. 8 with your name, phone number and number of people attending. If you find you cannot attend a program after you have registered, please call the Nature Center ASAP so we may contact those on the waiting list. Registration for this program will close on 10/01/23.
