Join Ranger Steve for an after-sunset prowl to look for nocturnal wildlife! Click program title for more details.

This program is now full and registration is closed. If you'd like to be placed on a waitlist, please follow the instructions below.

Join Ranger Steve for an evening walk on the Roadrunner Trail to look for and learn about the nocturnal critters of Lake Pleasant! Wildlife seen on past walks have included snakes, bats, ringtails, foxes, skunks, javelinas, burros, deer, owls, scorpions, insects, and other cool creepy crawlies! Please bring your own flashlights and blacklights if you have them. Please carry your own water and wear closed-toe shoes. Due to the wildlife we may encounter, please do not bring pets. Trails are rated as easy and are mostly flat, but there may be some uneven or rocky surfaces. We will hike about 2 miles. This program is for all ages but might not be suitable for toddlers or young children due to their perception of the darkness and hiking length.

MEETING LOCATION: Lake Pleasant Discovery Center Parking Lot

Limit 15 participants. To register, please email Ranger Steve DaCosta directly at Stephen.Dacosta@maricopa.gov with your name, phone number and number of people attending. If you find you cannot attend a program after you have registered, please notify him ASAP so he may contact those on the waiting list. Registration for this program will close on 5/5/23.
